The official IAT 2026 brochure specifies 15 single-correct questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, with +4/-1/0 scoring and 240 maximum marks.

Every question has one correct answer. The official brochure states that the question paper is available in English and Hindi and the 2026 test is conducted in CBT mode.
A wrong answer costs one mark in addition to the missed four marks. During review, separate knowledge gaps from guesses taken without sufficient elimination evidence.
